21 Students Attend Steer Wrestling Clinic

The NPIRA hosted a steer wrestling clinic July 30 and 31 at the Lodge Grass Rodeo Arena.  Clinicians included 2002 INFR Steer Wrestling Champion Walker Small, as well as Ivan Small, Jr., Ty Bird In Ground and Clinton Small. Students were introduced to proper technique, groundwork drills, sliding, chute dogging, etc.   Farmers Union of Lodge Grass and Custer Battlefield Trading Post donated a trophy jacket and Ty Bird In Ground and Keene Bends donated cash for the student jackpot held on Sunday.  Keene Bends of Kirby pictured here with clinicians Walker and Clinton Small was the winner of the cash and jacket.
